One of the most common questions for people thinking of starting up a business, is simply what do I need to get started? Granted, this can vary a lot based on the actual business, but this list is the basics for any e-commerce style business. I use these products every single day for my Etsy store - Bee’s Vinyl Company.

Shipping Label Printer - This is my favorite recommendation and if you only start off with one thing it would be this! I hand cut labels and taped them on to packages for over a year before investing in this. While that method works fine, the easy and simplicity of the label maker will save so much time, be more cost effective, and make the labels look more professional.
Shipping Scale - Another shipping essential, the scale will save money in the long run by ensuring you are purchasing the correct amount of postage for your packages. Over and underestimating shipping weights both cost money and can be easily be rectified by weighing the package before buying the label.
Small Business Planner - this printable planner really covers everything in regards to actually starting up a business. It would have been so handy for me when I was starting, but even two years into running my business it has been insanely helpful to organize, grow, and develop my company. You can use it all on the computer or print it out and use a physical copy!
Computer - I recently upgraded to an iMac and felt my productivity skyrocketed! My old laptop had a small screen (in comparison) and I love being able to have multiple pages open to see everything I need on one screen. For iPhone users, the connectivity is great as well! I get all my text messages and phone calls right on the computer, and can quickly transfer product photos from phone to computer as well.
There are so many more essentials that I use on a daily basis, but I tried keeping this list more broad for anyone starting up. I will definitely share the products I use to actually run my vinyl decal store later on!
